Now Accepting New Clients

I'm glad you're here. Helping clients improve their life and relationships is my goal and something I genuinely enjoy.
I'm pleased to offer you the benefits of 20 years in the field and PhD-level training. I am open to everyone and have specialized expertise with Men and Young Adults for issues like Anxiety, Relationships, and Porn/Sex Addiction. I use a talk-based approach that blends insight about yourself and your concerns with strategies to help you think, feel, and be better.
My experience as a professor teaching counselors in training benefits you with a high level of understanding of how to do counseling ethically and effectively. My prior career in pastoral ministry (worked especially with youth, young adults, and single adults) informs my work as I honor your whole person and can integrate faith into your process when desired. I see my therapeutic role as an expression of my life calling to help others.
As a longtime runner with many distance races under my belt, I understand the challenges and rewards of setting your goals and investing the work to cross the finish line. I value the opportunity to help you reach your goals with a supportive, nonjudgmental approach.
I've been privileged to work with a wide range of clients including business professionals, pro and college athletes, national media personalities, students, military, and retired folks. I'm licensed to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Services are available in office and online.
How may I help you? Let's talk.

Men have their own unique concerns and life experiences that have not always been well served in counseling practices. Here guys can talk it out in a space where men are welcome and understood. Sessions focus on identifying triggers, underlying causations, realistic choices, and tools to make your life better.
Many people struggle privately with excessive use of porn, social media, dating apps, and other forms of sexual addiction. Both individual well-being and relationships can be impacted. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, specific addiction-recovery techniques, and years of experience to guide you toward freedom.
The young adult years bring unique challenges involving college, career, relationships, identity, and life stage transitions. I practiced for eight years in university-related contexts and continue to emphasize helping young adults find your way to live your best life.
Gottman Method was developed to provide an evidence-based approach to couple counseling. I completed specialized training to help couples learn how to be better together and heal hurts. Sessions include assessments and focused techniques to quickly equip you for change.

Therapists are ethically forbidden to solicit reviews from clients, so what I can humbly say from a broad standpoint is that my clients have often spoken of my effectiveness in helping them reach their goals, my supportive listening skills, and my ability to connect with them and their concerns.

The center circle is the place in several sports where play begins at mid-field or mid-court. Face-offs between players happen in the center circle. The counseling experience might be seen as a crucial starting place for making lasting change in life-a place to "face off" with life's challenges and concerns.
A center circle might also be seen in a more general sense as a place of focus. Being in the spotlight, in a good way. For people who've been avoiding making themselves and their wellness a priority, having a welcoming, nonjudgmental place to be the center of attention can be a life-altering opportunity.
The images of center and circle have symbolic meaning for life. A healthy life is one that is centered, or grounded, in mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness.
Circles have traditionally represented wholeness or completion. Center Circle is a place to begin a new stage of play in life, with the goal of becoming more whole.
